HAPPY MAY DAY!

hellooo......... soooo, as goes with my life style.. I havent blogged in a while... oops!    Had a Lot happen so far...  

TEST RESULTS... STILL NO ANSWER... seeing a specialist...getting new labs drawn prolly tomorrow.

CHOMPERS!... they are the DEVIL!    every time that i left the office, i had full intentions of coming back to get my Front teeth fixed.. yeah.. well, my mouth has other plans apparently!       I have now had 7 root canals.. (bc i have ... very bad teeth)... *yet extremely good oral hygene... very confused on that one!*  2 gum scrapings..(top and bottom right side)                       I'm goin in May 26th for the other half of my mouth... plus a crown, and he's going to finish the root canal he started the other day.. he managed to get 90% done.   Apparently, it was pretty bad... I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW! the pain stopped (but i still kept my appointment) and went in thinking..ok, well, i'll get the temporary crown refilled...and make plans fo the front teeth.. yeah.. not so much... GRRRR CURSE YOU GENETICS!    oh well... i'm doin all i can do :)

I have been hard core LC'n now since Wednesday.   Prior to that, i was more or less... watching what i ate... more so on the OWL stage... though.. i'm far from ready to be there.. but, due to things that were happening w my life... i just watched what i ate.    NOW though... thanks to my mom... i'm extremely motivated.  She gave me a book called "Fat to Skinny".............. and it is Very well written!    It's all low carb.. But unlike Atkins, is easier to follow.   I mean.... last night, i made Ham Egg Foo Young with GRAVY! YES GRAVY! Heinz Classic turkey..... only a little bc that's all that was needed.. and the egg foo young was devine!    eggs, bean sprouts,scallions,ham... yum yum YUM!  and really easy!  and i made ham fried "rice" (cauliflower).

 One thing that DougVarrieur says to do is keep a food journal.. well, really, it's a hunger journal.     He makes very valid points w excellent examples.  here's one..
         (paraphrasing)   for bingers like myself, this caught my eye..and made me feel better.... he says..
you walk into the grocery story NOT hungry... you pass the bakery... you smell the Bakery smell.. you know... THAT SMELL... mmmmmmmmm.... and you're suddenly "hungry" for a cannoli or cupcake..    well... wait... were you hungry before you smelled it? NO.. No you weren't... the smell made you THINK you were hungry.

  What does hunger actually mean to you????   For myself............. after noting things down in my nifty lil notebook... i get cranky,indecisive,dizy............ and if i go TOO long, i get horrible to the floor pains in my stomach. (right between the breast bones) OUCH!         I now eat MUCH LESS than i did before... bc i'm aware of my body's ques for feul. :)  *YAY JENNI!*

ANOTHER GREAT TIP HE MENTIONS... as i've said as well in earlier posts.. are you really hungry?   or THIRSTY?  the body often confuses thirst with hunger.  Drink a glass or two of water first... if you're still experiencing hunger ques... EAT!  if not, ........... continue about your buisness :)   He ALSO says that when you have a craving for that nasty bad for ya stuff..... drink 2 glasses of water, and the cravings generally subside with in 15 minutes.  *TRUE TRUE TRUUUUUE!*  

oh! so... last night... i def. burned off excess FAT.... i felt all the symptoms... and of course, i grabbed a protein snack...and a huge glass of water.. but, it felt good to know that.... i am FINALY burning off these dreaded dang flubber cells!!!!  i spent the night...from 9-2am painting my sons new room.. freshly built... can't wait to move him in.  
   Today, same thing... i didn't eat until almost 2pm :/  BUT THAT'S BC I WAS NOT HUNGRY!   i had a cup of coffee, and a rockstar... finished painting, then cleaned and organized the basement.... came outback w the boys.... sat here playin on the lap top.. and got Hawngry... so, i grabbed some executive turkey and colby jack and nommed away until i was satisfied....   making sure NOT to over enduldge :)     i'm gonna make tuna salad wraps soon...., then shower... go to my sons baseball game.. come home... and cook.... something.  not sure yet...  OH FUN!  also decided i'm going to have different ethnic food days every day of the week.      *happy sigh*  well, guess that's all for now.     be back when i'm back...stay tuned :D
